Building Technology That Serves People
For nearly a decade, I've been immersed in the blockchain and AI space — studying the technology,
building relationships, and understanding how it can truly serve real businesses and real people.
As a Founding Director and Board Member of the Virginia Blockchain Council, I've worked at the intersection of policy,
technology, and business — and I've seen firsthand what happens when small businesses get left behind.
The small businesses I work with every day — the local shops, the service providers, the family-run operations — are getting left behind. Big corporations had access
to AI, automation, and enterprise tech that could transform their operations. The small guys? They
were stuck with whatever Big Tech decided to serve them, often at the cost of their own data privacy.
Why Data Sovereignty Matters
I've seen what happens when you don't control your own foundation. When your business
data lives on someone else's servers, you're at their mercy. When your business
data lives on someone else's servers, processed by algorithms you can't see, you're building your
future on borrowed ground.
That's why I founded BITS — not as another tech company trying to lock you into their ecosystem,
but as a partner helping you build your own. Private AI that runs on your hardware. Blockchain
solutions that you control. Technology infrastructure that's actually yours.
Humans and AI — Better Together
Here's what I believe: AI shouldn't replace people — it should amplify them. I've spent years
watching skilled professionals do incredible work across every industry. Technology didn't make them obsolete; it gave them
better tools. The experienced professional with AI in their corner works smarter and faster, but
their expertise is still what makes the difference.
That's the vision behind everything we build at BITS. Not AI that takes your job, but AI that
handles the tedious stuff so you can focus on what humans do best — creativity, relationships,
judgment, and the kind of intuition that no algorithm can replicate.
Faith, Values, and the Long View
I'm a Bible-believing Christian, and that shapes how I approach everything — including business.
There's a principle I hold close: build for the long term. In scripture, the wise man built his
house on the rock. In business, that means building on principles that don't shift with every
market trend — integrity, service, and genuine care for the people you work with.
Our Mission
To help small and mid-size businesses access enterprise-level technology while maintaining
complete data sovereignty — because your data is yours, your privacy matters, and you shouldn't
need a Fortune 500 budget to compete like one.
Our Commitment
We are fully aware that powerful technology can be misused. That awareness is not a footnote — it is the foundation of how we build and who we partner with. Every product BITS creates runs through one filter before anything else:
"Does this protect people, or does it harm them?"
We will walk away from revenue before we compromise that principle. Technology built with integrity, deployed with intention, and accountable to the people it serves — that is the only version of BITS we are willing to build.
